UPDATE, October 2018:
Welcome to the web platform of the Qualitative Transparency Deliberations (QTD), sponsored by the APSA's Organized Section for Qualitative and Multi-Method Research!
The QTD was launched in Spring 2016 to provide an inclusive process for deliberations over the meaning, costs, benefits, and practicalities of research transparency, openness and explicitness for a broad range of qualitative empirical approaches in Political Science. It has involved extensive and intensive consultations and deliberations, including an initial at-large agenda-setting stage and a multi-month second stage of differentiated deliberations in 13 working group-based online discussion boards on this platform. The discussion boards have been moderated by 42 scholars at varying stages of seniority from colleges and universities of varying sizes from across the United States and beyond.
The working groups are in the process of finalizing their reports in light of the feedback received on- and offline (thank you to all who have provided feedback). When the reports are finalized, we will post them here (ETA: October 2018). In the meantime, feel free to use the "Draft Reports" dropdown menu within the red banner above to see the list of the 13 working groups and access their draft reports via their respective discussion boards, where you can also still access the earlier deliberations.
The discussion boards remain open for further comments. Please fill out the short registration form to post "on the record." To post without attribution, if you prefer, please post without logging in. Anonymous posts will appear only after moderator review.
